So there I was at Toy Fair 2003 dashing through the countless aisles of the second floor. On my right, a multicolored caterpillar and to my left, behold, A ROBOT. Standing about 18″ tall was a shadow of a robot. Closer I crept and relized the folks of the Korean company Enjoymobil had a display of their Microrobot line. The 1/10 scale Platoon Microrobot is, I must say, impressive and well thought out. The kit is a series of die-cut styrafoam sheets with graphics on them and then plastic swivel joints. Think of the 3-D jiggsaw puzzles with an attitude.
Model builders can expect perfectly cut parts and tight fits. Glue is optional and needed only on the waist styrafoam (still, an option).
My lovely assistant Heather and I recently took about 1 1/2 Hours of our evening putting together Platoon GSV-001 and enjoying every minute. Please review the pictures below and see what you think. To me, GSV Maximizes the BANG for the BUCK and delivers a wonderful set.
