This Bullmark Legger had an unexpected charm to it. The character Apolon Legger was one of three football robots featured in the 1975 Japanese anime series Daiapolon.

Standing over 10" tall it shoots missiles from both the abdomen and the kneecaps. Both arm can rotate at the shoulder. The lavishly illustrated box stands at over 12" in height. One of the captions features the venerated "ST" designation, or that it met Japanese toy safety standards. -Must have been the rubber tipped missiles that helped it pass ; ).

All 4 original small missiles are held on the wrist. The two ab missiles fit on the shoulders when not in use.
