Megazords and Zords from the Power Rangers T.V. Show

Power Rangers group photoEach part to these toys, such as a lion or train, is known as a zord.  When the zords are combined the form Megazords.  These names have now become familiar to the American public after over 10 years of T.V. shows.

CYPRESS, Calif., October 3, 2002 – This October, the Power Rangers brand celebrates ten years of entertaining children as both the No. 1 action figure brand for boys and one of the longest running children’s action shows on television. This year’s “Power Rangers Wild Force” toy line continues to be a best seller while the TV series remains a hit on the ABC Television Network’s Saturday morning line-up, ABC Kids and on ABC Family kids’ action/adventure block.


Bandai America Inc., a subsidiary of Bandai Co. Ltd., is the world's third largest toy company, holding the master toy license for the Power Rangers since the brand’s inception. Bandai had produced more than 148 million toys over the past 10 years, including action figures, toysets, megazords, vehicles and role play items that have consistently topped the sales charts since 1993.

More than 450 episodes later, the Power Rangers (from Bandai America) plots and toylines included:
